From a Guys Perspective

Joshua Raymond Anderson was born today at 2:55 am, Our kids really need to have better timing.  He weighed in at 6 lb 12oz and 19 inches long.  Kyle was 7 lb and 19 inches long.  The two labors were completely different.  This one was a little easier in me, my wife might disagree.  Katie was able to do about half the labor at home and was not induced.  What a difference that made.  We were only in the hospital about five hours before we saw Joshua. 
When it came time for delivery the doctor did not put the sheet over the legs like last time.  I don't deal with blood real well so I examined the pink back wall.  When Joshua showed his face they cleared him, guided my hand to the umbilical cord to cut it and then tossed this purple slimy child on my wife.  I did not remember this event from the previous birth.  Then then cleaned him up and took measurements.then gave him to me to hold.  Yep, that is the best part. 
Now just under one day I have had some awakening moments.  I missed taking care of Kyle the first 5 days of his existence on earth.  The first soiled diapers are foul, disgusting, revolting and several other words.  We had four and five wipers with Kyle but Joshua's first was a 10 wiper!  I almost emptied the wipes provided by the hospital.  He has had two more.  It isn't like a lot but like a Vaseline tar substance that smears and coats.  The nurse was holding him when he went of and I said "Not it!" and she laughed and  handed him over. 
Next thing I noticed is that new babies are wrinkly.  Kyle gained 12 oz due to saline after birth.  Joshua is a prune (however not purple any more).
He has great eyes.  Kyles were brown from birth.  Joshua's are a blue-gray-green.  I may have gotten lucky and now have a green eyed kid (chances are 3/100).

Everyone is doing fine.  Thanks for all the support.  To answer every one's question:  Kyle has no interest in his brother.
